Who we are

Opal Shot is a trading name of Benedito Filmes e Áudio LTDA, based in São Paulo, Brazil. For anything about your data, write to marcus@opalshot.com.

What we collect

• Business contact details: a person's name, work email address, company and role, when they are published or can be found for business purposes.
• Public business material: the company's website, its public property listings or the ads it runs, which we look at to decide whether our work could help.
• Our conversations: the emails you send us and the files you choose to share.

We find this information in public sources such as company websites, business directories, maps listings and the Meta Ad Library, and with email-finding services that work from public data.

Why we use it

• To write to businesses about services that are relevant to them. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in offering our services to other businesses.
• To reply to you and, if you become a client, to deliver the work you ask for.

Our emails

We only write to business addresses, and we keep our emails short and specific. Every email tells you how to stop: reply "unsubscribe" and you won't hear from us again. We then keep your address on a do-not-contact list, only so that we never write to you again by mistake.

Who we share it with

We don't sell or rent personal data. We use a small number of service providers to run the business, such as our email provider (Google Workspace), an email-finding service and our website host. They process data on our behalf and under their own security and privacy commitments. Some of them, and we ourselves, are outside the UK and the European Economic Area, and we rely on the safeguards those providers offer for international transfers.

How long we keep it

If you don't reply to us, we delete your contact details within 12 months. If you work with us, we keep what we need for as long as the work and our legal and tax obligations require. The do-not-contact list is kept for as long as we send emails.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Write to marcus@opalshot.com and we'll reply within 30 days. If you are in the UK and are unhappy with how we handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

This website

This site doesn't use cookies, analytics or tracking, and its fonts are served from our own server. If you email us from it, your email is handled as described above.
